Mbeumo Set for Man Utd Move in £70m Transfer

Man United are set to land Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo after striking a transfer agreement in a bold move to boost their attacking firepower this summer

Manchester United have reportedly reached a deal to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, IsaGoal can report, as the club pushes ahead with its summer rebuild.

Recent reports indicate that the Red Devils are closing in on their fourth major signing of the window after agreeing terms with Brentford for the prolific forward.

Mbeumo hit 20 Premier League goals last season and was one of Brentford’s standout stars in what became their final campaign under Thomas Frank.

Brentford are already preparing for life after the Cameroon international and have lined up Omari Hutchinson from Ipswich Town as a possible replacement.

The 25-year-old played every Premier League game in 2024-25 and matched strike partner Yoane Wissa with a joint team-high 20 goals.

Since arriving from Troyes in 2019, Mbeumo has clocked 242 appearances and found the net 70 times for the West London side.

Brentford are reportedly sticking to their £70million valuation, so United could still face negotiations over the final transfer fee.

Mbeumo had strong interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, both of whom will compete in the Champions League next season.

Despite that, the attacker is said to have chosen Old Trafford as his preferred destination, turning down European football to join Ruben Amorim’s side.

Mbeumo’s decision to snub Spurs and Newcastle may raise eyebrows, especially if United struggle again after a disappointing bottom-half finish last term.

Still, the winger believes in the new project at United and is ready to make the Theatre of Dreams his new home.
