Tottenham Hotspur are stepping up their transfer business this summer after agreeing a £55million deal for West Ham star Mohammed Kudus — and now they’ve set their sights on Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White, IsaGoal can report.
According to David Ornstein, Spurs have shifted their attention to Gibbs-White amid rising competition for Eberechi Eze, with Thomas Frank a long-time admirer of the Forest star.
The 25-year-old was a standout performer in the Premier League last season, earning praise for his creativity and work rate, and even being labelled “unplayable” at times.
Tottenham endured a dismal league campaign, finishing 17th, but their Europa League triumph has secured a return to Champions League football — something they hope will lure Gibbs-White to north London.
Forest, however, are reluctant to let go, slapping a hefty £100million price tag on their prized midfielder.
Despite the interest from other Premier League giants, Manchester City and AC Milan opted for different targets, leaving Spurs in a strong position to make their move.
Gibbs-White, who helped Forest qualify for the Europa Conference League, is now being seen as a central figure in Spurs’ summer overhaul under Thomas Frank.
Forest fans may be concerned, especially with Anthony Elanga also on the verge of a £55million move to Newcastle United.
If both stars leave, it could spark a major rebuild at the City Ground — but Tottenham are clearly eager to strike while the iron’s hot.
