Marcus Rashford has made a subtle yet telling move on social media following reports that he’s ready to leave Manchester United this summer, IsaGoal can report.
As first reported by The Mirror, Rashford was one of five players—alongside Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia—who expressed a desire to leave Old Trafford ahead of the 2025/26 season.
In response, United have stripped Rashford of his iconic number 10 shirt, handing it to new £62.5m signing Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
The 26-year-old, who came through United’s academy, has drawn interest from Barcelona and Bayern Munich, with United placing a £40m valuation on him.
Just hours after the exit talk gained traction, Rashford updated his display pictures across Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), sharing a training snap captioned: “Putting in the work with family and friends before the serious stuff starts back up.”

His potential departure comes after a loan spell at Aston Villa, where his performances divided opinion.
United boss Ruben Amorim later revealed why the forward fell out of favour, saying: “I couldn’t put Marcus to see the way you’re supposed to play football and train the way I see it.”
United will delay pre-season returns for the five unsettled stars to allow time for negotiations.
Meanwhile, players like Harry Maguire and Rasmus Hojlund are set to return to Carrington next week.
The Red Devils will head to the U.S. for the Premier League Summer Series before wrapping up preparations with a final home friendly against Fiorentina.
