Napoli Shock Galatasaray, Liverpool With Osimhen U-Turn

Victor Osimhen’s transfer saga has taken another dramatic twist, as Napoli may now push to keep the Nigerian striker despite growing interest from Europe’s elite, IsaGoal can report.

According to Il Mattino via Tutto Napoli, manager Antonio Conte has urged the club not to sell Osimhen unless his €75 million release clause is triggered.

Osimhen had a standout loan spell at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists while leading the Turkish giants to a league and cup double.

That run of form sparked interest from clubs like Liverpool, Manchester United, PSG, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Al-Hilal.

However, Osimhen turned down a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal, signaling his preference to continue competing at the top level in Europe.

“Unless a club meets the release clause, he stays,” Conte reportedly told the board, showing clear intent to build his attack around the 26-year-old forward.

Liverpool were said to be working on a possible swap involving Darwin Núñez, but talks haven’t advanced.

Napoli’s attempts to find alternatives have stalled, with moves for Lorenzo Lucca and Núñez both hitting dead ends.

That has led the club to reopen communication with Osimhen, despite past tensions that saw him leave on loan last season.

Wages remain a sticking point, with Osimhen requesting €12 million per year, but the door to a renewed partnership is now open.

If terms are agreed, Osimhen could lead Napoli’s Champions League push under Conte’s command.
