Portuguese giants FC Porto are set to offload Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi this summer, IsaGoal can report.
Sanusi joined Porto in 2020 from Santa Clara for €4 million and quickly became a vital player in his debut seasons.
He scored the title-winning goal during Porto’s 2021/22 campaign, helping seal the Portuguese Primera Liga crown in dramatic fashion.
But the 28-year-old left-back has struggled over the last two years due to serious injuries and a drop in form.
Sanusi missed 42 matches across the 2022/23 season due to a cruciate ligament tear and recurring muscle problems.
He managed just six senior appearances last season and was even demoted to Porto B for part of the campaign.
During the recent FIFA Club World Cup, Sanusi was part of Porto’s squad but didn’t feature as they exited in the group stage.
With two years left on his contract, Porto are now actively looking to sell him and hope to recoup a modest fee, with his current market value at €2 million.

That interest has since cooled, and a move to a mid-table or smaller European side now looks more realistic.
He has earned 22 caps for Nigeria since making his Super Eagles debut in 2020 and remains a dependable option for the national team.
