Former Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has expressed his willingness to come out of retirement to replace the injured Marc-André ter Stegen.

Ter Stegen sustained a serious knee injury during Barcelona’s 5-1 victory over Villarreal, with reports suggesting he could be sidelined for approximately eight months.

Following the injury, speculation arose about Barcelona signing a replacement, despite the transfer window being closed until January.

The club is still able to sign free agents, leading to Bravo’s offer to return.

The 41-year-old Chilean, who retired this summer after four seasons with Real Betis, stated, “If Barcelona calls me, I will be ready.”

Bravo had a successful two-year stint at Barcelona from 2014 to 2016, making 75 appearances and keeping 43 clean sheets.

He was part of the team that won La Liga in both seasons and contributed to their Champions League victory in 2014/15, earning a spot in La Liga’s best XI that year.

His international career with Chile spanned 20 years, culminating in Copa America victories in 2015 and 2016.

Bravo’s potential return could provide valuable experience and depth to the Barcelona squad.
