Rio Ferdinand Hails Arsenal’s Resolute Spir After Atalanta Draw

Here Is The Easy Money-Making Trick Everyone Is Talking About! Learn More Here!

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand praised Arsenal following their goalless draw against Atalanta in the Champions League on Thursday night.

The Gunners started the match strongly but struggled to maintain their momentum in the second half.

Despite creating several chances, particularly through Gabriel Martinelli, Arsenal failed to find the back of the net.

The standout moment came when goalkeeper David Raya pulled off a stunning double save to deny Mateo Retegui from the penalty spot, securing a valuable point for his side.

Ferdinand, speaking to TNT Sports, emphasized Arsenal‘s newfound resilience, noting that they have become a tough team to face, both at home and away.

He remarked that opposing teams are wary of facing Arsenal, which is a testament to their defensive strength.

“Arsenal are resolute now. They’re hard to play against, home or away, and that’s not what you want as an opposition player.

Teams are thinking, ‘I’d rather give that one a miss,’” Ferdinand said.

Arsenal have kept four clean sheets in their first five matches of the season, with their only goal conceded coming after Declan Rice’s red card against Brighton.

Raya has been a key figure in goal, delivering world-class saves.

However, the Gunners have struggled to convert chances, having scored only six goals this season.

Arsenal face a major test of their Premier League title credentials on Sunday when they visit Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, aiming for their first victory there since 2015.
