Manchester United is reportedly eyeing a move for Hoffenheim forward Maximilian Beier as they seek to bolster their attacking options.

With Anthony Martial set to depart, United is keen to secure a new striker, with Beier among their targets alongside Ivan Toney, Joshua Zirkzee, and Jonathan David.

According to reports, United has shown interest in Beier, approaching the striker’s camp to discuss potential terms.

The 21-year-old has a €32.5m (£27.5m) release clause in his contract, making him an attractive prospect for several clubs, including Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and Brentford.

Beier, a product of Hoffenheim’s youth system, has impressed with 18 goals and four assists in 46 appearances for the club.

He also enjoyed successful loan spells at Hannover, tallying 15 goals and seven assists in 68 outings.

Last season, Beier showcased his talent with 16 goals and three assists in 33 Bundesliga matches.

Despite his young age, Beier brings considerable experience, having featured 42 times in the Bundesliga and twice in the Europa League.

His inclusion in the Germany squad for Euro 2024 underscores his potential and readiness for a move to a bigger club.

While Beier’s transfer would entail some risk due to his lack of Premier League experience, his track record suggests he could adapt quickly.

United may prioritize a player with more experience, but Beier’s talent and potential make him an intriguing option in the current market.

Given his release clause, it’s unlikely Beier will remain at Hoffenheim beyond the transfer deadline.
