UEFA has introduced a new cap on ticket prices that home clubs can charge visiting fans in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League, with the maximum set at €60 for Champions League matches.
This change comes as the tournaments expand to 36 teams, allowing for visits to various clubs across Europe, which often results in varying ticket prices, especially for high-demand games.
In a statement released today, UEFA announced that starting from the 2024/25 season, the maximum ticket prices for away fans will be capped at €60 for Champions League ties, €40 for Europa League matches, and €20 for the Conference League.
Further reductions are planned for the 2025/26 season, lowering the caps to €50 for the Champions League, €35 for the Europa League, and maintaining €20 for the Conference League.
UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin emphasized that this decision is part of UEFA’s ongoing commitment to improving the matchday experience for all fans.
He highlighted that by implementing these more fan-friendly ticket policies, UEFA is continuing its mission to make football an inclusive sport, where traveling supporters are valued and acknowledged.
These changes are expected to make European football more accessible to fans, ensuring that the cost of following their teams across Europe remains reasonable, regardless of the venue.
