PSG Suffer First Loss Of Season in Lens 3-1 defeat
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) suffered their first loss in any form of competition since March 20 last year when they were defeated 3-1 at Lens on Sunday.
PSG was without World Cup winners Lionel Messi and Neymar, but Kylian Mbappe still played.
The defeat reduced the point difference gap to 4 points and Lens coach Franck Haise commented that it showed “we can beat anyone in this championship.”
Christophe Galtier, PSG’s coach, expressed his hope that French fans would welcome Messi with a rousing reception.
Massadia Haidara, Seko Fofana, Lou Openda and Alexis Claude Maurice scored for Lens during the match while Hugo Ekitike was the only player to find the back of the net for PSG.
