Genk coach John van den Brom believes Paul Onuachu can also play in any of Europe’s league top leagues.
The Nigeria international caught the headlines for his impressive displays for the Smurfs last season.
Onuachu scored 33 goals in 38 league appearances for Genk, who came second behind Club Brugge in the Belgian Pro League
The lanky striker was widely expected to move to one of Europe’s major leagues this summer, but Genk did receive a concrete offer for him.

“Put Paul (Onuachu) in a top league, surround him with even better players and he will score his goals there too,” van den Brom told voetbalprimeur.
“I really like him very much.
“So, I still don’t understand that no club made a concrete offer for him (in the summer).”
Genk have since extended his contract till June 2024.
