Remo Stars midfielder, Shuji Oshobe, is confident about the chances of Remo Stars amassing all three points when his side squares up against Rivers United in Remo on Sunday.

One of the matchday nine fixtures of the 2021/2022 NPFL season would see the top two sides on the log lock horns in a cut throat encounter as whoever wins the tie will have the chance to sit atop of the log.

Both Rivers United and Remo Stars are currently tied on eighteen points and a win for either side will set the NPFL on fire as the quest for the league glory reaches fever pitch.

Meanwhile, Shuji Oshobe, a former Rivers United player has said that the Sky Blue Stars would defeat Rivers United when the two sides file out to trade tackles on Sunday.

“I am hopeful that we will put an end to the unbeaten run of Rivers United on Sunday, no doubt they are a good side, but I am very positive that we will carry the day”, he declared.

“I played there for 2 years, they play good football, but we are battle ready for them, it won’t be easy because they are one of the best sides in the league this season, the highest goalscorer is also from their team.” Oshobe added.

“We will try our best possible to get the maximum points against them this weekend.” The midfielder said.

The match will also see the return of Remo Stars’ former gaffer, Fatai Osho, who is now a member of Rivers United’s technical crew to Ikenne in the top of the table clash.

The Sky Blue side will be seeking to avenge the defeat suffered in the four previous meetings against The Pride of Rivers in the 2017 and 2019 seasons .
