NPFL 2022: Jolomi laments Akwa United’s loss to Plateau United

Akwa United interim manager, Ali Jolomi, has lamented his side’s loss to Plateau United in the matchday 15 of the 2021-2022 NPFL season.

The Promise Keepers recorded their first loss Under Jolomi after falling by 3-0 to Plateau United at the new Jos Stadium on Sunday

Jolomi, who was speaking after the game noted that the result was a shocking one and for Akwa United, it was an embarrassing defeat.

”This is a shocking result and as far as Akwa United is concerned, it’s embarrassing that we lost by three goals to nothing.“

“We went into the match with a game plan, but that early goal made it difficult for us, despite the fact that we were the better side especially in the first half. I think we had a bad day and we are sincerely sorry about everything.

“We should be able to move on and put this result behind us as we look forward to our next game. We will talk with the players on all noticeable lapses and we hope to get back to winning ways as soon as possible”, Coach Jolomi assured.

The current champions of the NPFL will on Wednesday host Wikki Tourists at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
