Messages of support pour in for former footballer Kevin Campbell as he battles illness in hospital.
Everton and Liverpool, among others, share heartfelt well-wishes for the ex-striker, who played over 150 games for Everton and had successful spells at Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, and West Bromwich Albion.
Campbell, 54, was hospitalized after falling ill earlier in the week.
Everton’s statement read: “We have been made aware our former striker Kevin Campbell is currently very unwell.
“Not just a great footballer but an incredible person, Kevin is, and always has been, a fighter and we wish him and his family well at this challenging time. Sending all our love,@1kevincampbell.”
Liverpool also chimed in with a well-wish: “Everyone at LFC is sending their thoughts and best wishes, @1kevincampbell.”
Jamie Carragher and Trevor Sinclair, former football pros, joined the chorus of well-wishes for Kevin Campbell via social media.
