“I’m not leaving Liverpool over Brighton draw” – Jurgen Klopp

Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he going anywhere is as Liverpool manager in spite of the club’s sub-par start to the new Premier League season.

The Reds currently sit ninth in the division after winning just two of their opening seven games and already find themselves 11 points adrift of early leaders Arsenal.

The pressure on Liverpool to turn their dire form around was ramped up on Saturday as they were held to a thrilling home draw by Brighton, who had Leandro Trossard to thank for securing a welcome point at Anfield with a stunning hat-trick.

Klopp remains adamant that he is not thinking about a new challenge away from Liverpool as of yet, though, as he looks to help the Reds get back to winning ways as a matter of priority.

“I’m still in the right place at the moment, one hundred per cent,” Klopp told Sky Germany. “And if not, then you have to end it. It would be stupid if you didn’t do that. But everyone involved doesn’t see it.”

Liverpool, meanwhile, will be desperate to bring an end to their lacklustre run of form at the very next opportunity against Rangers in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

The Reds were comfortably beaten by Napoli in their first group stage outing last month before earning a narrow win over Ajax at Anfield on matchday two.
