Former Super Eagles midfield meastro Jay Jay Okocha says good moments are back for Nigeria, after the team wrapped up their group D game against Guinea-Bissau with a perfect record at the ongoing AFCON in Cameroon.

The Super Eagles made it three out of three following a 2-0 win over the African Wild Dogs on Wednesday to see them march on to the last 16 with an 100 percent record, after topping Group D with 9 points scoring 6 goals and conceding just one goal.

The former Bolton midfielder Okocha said, it is even more gratifying to see Nigeria coach Augustine Eguavoen make a massive eight changes in Wednesday’s squad that went on to triumphed against Guinea-Bissau.

The game produced two goals with Almeria lanky forward Sadiq Umar scoring his first AFCON goal in the 56th minute, before the Super Eagles captain William Troost Ekong wrapped up the game with the second goal in the 79th minute.

Okocha during is after match analysis on Supersport said: “He Eguavoen has got a great team of not just eleven players but also twenty something good players that he can rely on.”

“There is nothing better for the coach than giving a player a chance and him playing you back by restoring his confidence in you.”

“I think it is good to see that we are flying high but the game today is gone, the most important one is the next one and we can only justify our performances so far if we go on and win the next one.”

“I hope we will carry on the good job that we are doing so far.”

The Super Eagles will return to action on Sunday while they await the best third placed finisher from Thursday’s night group E and F games.
