Two former Nigeria internationals, Sunday Oliseh and Dosu Joseph have warned Victor Osimhen against leaving Napoli this summer.

Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Napoli with the Italian club placing a €100m price tag on the 23-year-old.

The Nigeria international who scored 18 goals last season for Napoli is on the radar of Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

Joseph spoke with PUNCH Sports Extra and labeled Osimhen as his favourite Super Eagles player and warned the forward not to leave the Partenopei this summer, despite attracting several interests from top European clubs.

“Osimhen’s one of my favourite Eagles players at the moment,” Dosu told PUNCH Sports Extra.

“He’s sacrificed himself a lot during games. The shift he puts in makes me his huge fan. I’m sure he will be going nowhere. I feel he should stay at Napoli for another season play in the UEFA Champions League and get better.”

Also, former Super Eagles coach, Oliseh believe that the former Lille striker will be Napoli’s leading man in attack if he stays.

“He has all the qualities to excel at the club so I think he should stay,” Oliseh said.

“I’m happy to see him now finally doing his thing, he can be better than Samuel Eto’o if he keeps up with his scoring form.

“One thing is certain, should any team get (Victor) Osimhen they will move strikingly up to another level.”
