Cristiano Ronaldo suffers first loss in Saudi Arabian move

After transferring from Manchester United to Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo experienced defeat for the first time on Thursday night.

As captain of Al Nassr, Ronaldo was unable to lead his team past Al Ittihad at the King Fahd International Stadium, as Romarinho, Abderrazak Hamdallah and Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti scored for the opposing side.

Though Ronaldo had a chance to score in the 43rd minute with a header that was saved by Al-Ittihad goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe, Anderson Talisca eventually put one in for Nassr but it ended up as only a consolation goal.

Ronaldo had previously earned a win in his first game against Ettifaq, but this evening’s result resulted in an unfortunate 3-1 loss.
