Arthur Melo was recently robbed in broad daylight while out in Barcelona.
The former Premier League player was reportedly enjoying some time off when the incident happened.
According to Marca, the 28-year-old midfielder was paying for his parking ticket on Passeig de Gracia when the robbery occurred.
At around 4 pm, one of the thieves, riding a motorbike, snatched Melo’s luxury watch and quickly sped away.
Thankfully, Melo was unharmed during the ordeal and immediately reported it to the police.
Despite the shocking incident, he returned to training the very next day, ready for Girona’s upcoming match against Alaves on Saturday.
This wasn’t the first time Melo has been a target of a robbery.
Back in 2019, burglars broke into his Barcelona home and threatened his brother with a weapon.
The thieves took valuables, including a Rolex watch, but luckily, no one was hurt in that incident.
Melo has had quite the career journey, playing for Juventus, Liverpool, and Fiorentina before landing at Girona.
He’s also earned 22 caps for Brazil during his career.
